The Two Cookies Story

My son, now 10, is autistic and mostly nonverbal; however, has a very clear way of letting us know exactly what brings him joy. When he wants something nice, he walks right into the kitchen and makes his unapologetic demand: "Let's get two cookies."

It’s simple, it’s joyful, and there’s absolutely zero pretense.

That exact feeling—pure, uncomplicated delight—is how you should feel about your morning coffee. That’s how Two Cookies Coffee was born.

This roastery is more than just a business; it’s a blueprint for our family's future. As my son grows older, traditional work settings might not be the right fit for him. I am building Two Cookies so that one day, he has a thriving business where he can work alongside me. Even now, he already finds a quiet fascination in watching the drum of our roaster spin, mesmerized by the process. Every bag you buy helps build that future.

Because we operate as an independent, lean micro-roastery, we do things a little differently. We meticulously source boutique, specialty beans—like vibrant Ethiopian Naturals—that are farmed using organic methods. While our small startup space doesn't carry an official organic certification label just yet, our commitment to clean, exceptional coffee is unwavering. By skipping the massive overhead of a traditional brick-and-mortar cafe, we can offer those top-tier coffees at a much lower markup. You get world-class beans without the premium price tag.

The specialty coffee world can feel like an exclusive club where you have to decipher a secret language of grind sizes and obscure tasting notes just to "earn" a good cup.
